There are no words… Just a breaking heart at seeing the very worst of humanity and a bursting heart at seeing the very best of humanity. Both in the one place.
My heart breaks for the brutality, lies and insanity of President Putin. As we see on the news, Russian people say this is not their war but the Kremlin’s. My heart bursts with pride and breaks with sorrow for the thousands of Russian people protesting against the war who are being arrested… And who knows what else.
My heart breaks upon break for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
AND…
My heart bursts with awe, love and respect for them too!
From their indomitable President who’s leading his nation with such passion, honesty and courage to the mainly women and children who have fled to preserve life to their army which, like David and Goliath, have been holding out against such great odds… And to the ordinary people, like you and me, who stay to fight in whatever way they can.
I heard a woman relate speaking with her sixty-something father who is determined to fight. She said to him, ‘But you can’t walk so good.’ He replied, ‘Then I’ll crawl.’
And my heart bursts that most nations have come together in unprecedented ways not only to condemn Putin’s onslaught of Ukraine but to take united action.
The very worst of us and the very best of us…
If you can pray, woman, pray!
Love and wild warm wishes…

So you can be big and wild and free!
