It’s December… Festival of lights’ time in several religions. And if the three kings’ star isn’t included in that, I don’t know what is!
But how truly ho-ho-ho is it for us in the UK and TBH the rest of the world as well?
Part of me is balking at doing the Merry Christmas thing. While another personality part wants to get with the programme, put mistletoe over my ears and do damage to the nearest bottle of Bailey’s.
So, I’m going to sit quietly and explore wassup!
Ooo… I get it!
My Wild Soul lovingly surveys them both. The part who identifies with the pain in the world and the part that just wants me to have a goood-goood time… Each pulls me in a different direction.
Have you ever had an internal ding-dong like that?
Reality is that neither of them is right and neither of them is wrong. Just different parts with different values who’ve bumped into each other at this particular time.
So I sit quietly again, this time honouring my personality and its many parts while calling in my Wild Soul to bring some spiritual sense to my internal goings on…
Its counsel is wise. Because there is pain in the world doesn’t mean there can’t also be celebration… And vice versa!
I can be mindful of each rather than let the one cancel the other out. Life is both joyful at times and painful at times. It’s just how it is…
So, as we move ever closer to the ‘festive season,’ if you are in pain I send the healing energy of love and tenderness and encourage you to take joy in whatever you can. And if you are in joy I also send the healing energy of love and tenderness and encourage you to put that particular piece of spiritual money in the bank so you can draw it out when pain comes your way again…
And, whenever you have an internal conflict, get spiritually curious for the learning and resolution only your Wild Soul can bring.
