Well, magnificent woman, it’s that time again… The Festive Season… ‘Deck your halls with holly, la-la-la-la-laaa la-la-la-laaa!’
O M G!
It can be one of the most stressful times of the year when feuding family factions and hostile in-laws can make mincemeat out of any yo-ho-ho…
Alternatively, it can be one of the most joyous times with wide-eyed children threading through smiling adults in an abundant food-drink-jolly.
Then again, some of us will spend some or all of it alone.
For those who do so on purpose, deliciously relish your own space to be, eat and do exactly what you desire at any given moment.
For those who spend some or all of it alone because you have no convivial friends or family, tune into the big warm hugs I’ll be sending you on the airwaves…
And know, at essence, you are never ever EVER alone even when it feels like you are!
One of the things I love about being Wild Elder is that I’m no longer putting on big family festive gatherings. Don’t get me wrong. Although they could be hard work with sometimes 20 or more around the extended table, they were also deliciously fulfilling.
But now, just as I did as a younger woman, my daughter and daughter-in-law have taken up the baton and I don’t have to lift a finger. Such are the joys of being a matriarch.
And my Wild Soul rejoices in this turn of the seasons in my life… and theirs!
As the mystic, Julian of Norwich, wrote 8 or 9 centuries ago, ‘All will be well, and all will be well, and all manner of things will be well.”
Whatever the changes!
I wish you and yours a most joyful and wondrous festive season and one helluva magnificent New Year jam-packed with everything you would wish for yourself… and even more!
Love and wild warm wishes…

You are perfect imperfection
A divine light that yearns to shine.
So shine, woman, shine!
PS… I’m taking a festive break and will be back with you in January. In the meantime, you can always find me here.
