In case you don’t know, I’m doing an intensive book writing programme. We’re currently at the planning stage with a deadline to submit a whole lot of stuff today by 5pm… Heeeeeelp!
I didn’t realise how much else had to go by the wayside to get this stuff done. BUT, as tomorrow is International Women’s Day, I’m not missing out on writing this blog post. Even if it has to be brief and even if it meant me burning the midnight oil last night to write it.
Sympathy and empathy noises gratefully received!
So… What riled me big time over the weekend was the news about the poisonous gassing of Iranian girls in their high school classrooms.
W T F!
The ‘management’ has said this has nothing to do with Iranian school girls taking part in protests without a hijab covering their hair or even publicly burning them. In fact, they suggest the poisoning is a western plot to cause trouble.
They must think we’re all highly lacking in the grey cells and BS detector departments!
My heart goes out to our Iranian sisters and all women, men and children who are oppressed by authoritarian regimes wherever they are.
AND…
While we UK women still don’t have parity with men in so many situations, we are much better off than the girls and women in Iran. That doesn’t mean we ought to stop campaigning about what we don’t have.
Abso-freakin-lutely not!
Instead, what I’m calling you to today, is to celebrate all the women and their male allies who fought for the level of equality we currently have in the UK. And celebrate all those women, in particular, just like Iranian schoolgirls and women are doing now, who stood firm with courage and who suffered torments, even death, at the hands of the ‘management!’
Please remember also to celebrate your own magnificence, strength and power as a daughter of the divine feminine!
I salute you, woman…
Love and wild warm wishes…

You are perfect imperfection
A divine light that yearns to shine.
So shine, woman, shine!
PS… In my own way I overcame the patriarchal misogyny of my ex husband which was a contributing factor in my then clinical depression. To find out how, watch my 8 minute video here…
