When I got my small wonky apple tree 2 years ago I researched how to care for it and when to prune for maximum fruit.
But then, of course, life happened and, despite my good intentions, I forgot to prune my precious baby tree…
But just look at it now… Resplendent and heavy with blossom without any freakin’ intervention from me!
Isn’t it a shame our human gardeners don’t do the same for us?
From the word go female plants are treated differently than male plants. And how our parents and families relate to us influences whether we grow lots of firm branches, how sturdy we get, how solid our root system becomes and how much we blossom.
And that’s before we get to school and the demands of who, how and what we should be from wider society!
Everybody else knows what’s best for you. Never mind your particular growth path. Never mind nurturing your emerging potential, whatever it is!
But a time will come when you’ll feel divine discontent. Even if the material realities of your life are good, you’ll feel unsettled, like you’re missing something but you don’t know what.
Like there has to be more to life than this!
So, you might… move house, change your job, change your partner, buy a motorbike, have a baby, leave for another country, take up scuba diving or bingo or do a myriad of other things…
Phew… That’s fixed it… Or so you thought only for divine discontent to reoccur sometime else down the line.
Because it’s an inside and not an outside job!
There’s no fixing it when your Wild Soul urges you to reclaim some of your own precious blossoming, some of what you could have been without all the interventions.
I tell those of my clients who embrace this personal and spiritual rite of passage for their highest good that they have the X factor.
When others will avoid and deny, often because no one shows them a way through, only a way out… A fix that seems to stop the unsettlement and uncertainty.
