Wild women wake, and hard men shake at the sound of our voices!
You think I’m kidding?
Not so!
Why do you think the patriarchy wants to control us if there’s not a subconscious fear of our power?
For “the patriarchy”, read not “men” but the prevalent system that privileges men and subjugates women. And for “hard man” read “not all men” but those who identify with the patriarchy in what they believe, how they think and how they behave.
And if you think that’s a load of hogwash, consider Virginia Giuffre, who killed herself this week at 41.
Having once been on the brink of suicide myself, while I can’t know the nightmare she felt or the torturous thoughts that racked her brain, I know the darkness, despair, and nihilism that engulfs you.
So much so that the only respite seems death.
Who’s Virginia Giuffre?
Remember that infamous photo with Prince Andrew’s arm around a young girl’s waist at Jeffrey Epstein’s house? That young woman was her.
She was groomed and sexually, emotionally and mentally abused by hard men. Unfortunately, she also married a hard man who mistreated her, which is not uncommon when you’ve been conditioned to be abused.
Having been sexually abused as a child and then young girl/woman, I know how it seems you have a sign on your forehead that says “Come and get me” to hard men and general shitheads.
Why?
Because being used and abused is what you’re used to, and we humans will repeat familiar patterns again and again until we wake up!
Anyhow, Virginia Giuffre fought through the courts to bring her abusers to justice. While Epstein took his own life in prison and his accomplice, Ghislane Maxwell, got 20 years, the many men who used and abused her as a young girl and woman went Scot free.
Although she is responsible for killing herself, maybe she just couldn’t fight any more. Maybe the effects of patriarchal influence, for example, shielding those men, including its psychological, emotional and mental damage from all the abuse, were just too much for her.
Just too much to go on a single day more.
I mourn her passing and all she endured.
The “hard men” fear our voices, woman, and compensate for it with displays of toxic masculinity designed to subjugate us.
That’s why your voice, my voice, every woman’s voice is potentially a beacon of hope for the greater good!
