Last Saturday was “No Kings Day” in America.
Nearly seven million people peacefully protested in more than 2,500 locations around the USA to support their constitution. According to The Independent online (Sunday, 19 October), it was the largest single-day national demonstration in US history!
Howzat?
Nearly seven million people energised and acting for the greater good against authoritarianism, fascism and all the other “isms” that those two include.
Distorted ideologies that would have us at each other’s throats!
And beautifully, there were no arrests.
People interviewed spoke of “belonging” and the caring, carnival atmosphere. People of different heritages, cultures, religions, skin, hair, and eye colours came together, creating a community for the power of good by making a stand.
The worm is turning, woman…
It’s most definitely turning!
