Every March, we’re handed a neatly packaged celebration… Women’s History Month and a day of hashtags for International Women’s Day. Corporate panels all about women, purple cupcakes, and branded empowerment.

And yet…

If women’s history truly mattered, it wouldn’t be confined to 31 days. It would be woven into the fabric of how we educate our children. It wouldn’t be an “add-on” like it currently is.

It would be freakin’ foundational!

The thoughtful, capable, midlife woman who has spent decades achieving, caregiving, leading, and holding everything together knows this dissonance in her core.

She’s lived the quiet inequality and watched as rooms applaud “strong women” while continuing to uphold male authority, male narratives, and male genius.

Token celebration without structural integration is not honouring women, it’s managing optics!

If girls can complete their education without learning about the female scientists whose discoveries were credited to men, the activists erased from civil rights history, the mystics, artists, healers, and leaders written out of textbooks, then society is not celebrating women.

It’s containing women!

Women’s History Month functions as a pressure valve…

It gives institutions a way to signal virtue without redistributing power. They might have a themed assembly, a social media campaign, or even a limited-edition product line in support of the event. Meanwhile, the curriculum remains largely unchanged.

What would it mean if women’s contributions were not “special topics,” but central narratives?

If emotional labour, community building, and relational intelligence were studied with the same seriousness as conquest and industry?

If our daughters grew up seeing themselves reflected in history not as exceptions, but as architects?

For many women, this tokenism mirrors their own experience. Oh yes, you’re praised for your resilience, yet you’re unsupported when you need support that would hold and validate you. You’re celebrated for your strength, yet unseen in your delicious complexity.

True equity is not seasonal.

It’s damn well structural!

Until women’s stories are embedded into education, policy, and collective memory… not just spotlighted once a year… Women’s History Month is less a celebration, and more a reminder of how much of who we women are, what we hold to be true, and what we do is excluded from the social narrative.

So, don’t give me Women’s History Month or International Women’s Day!

I’m burning to live in a different world where the Divine Feminine rules and womanly values are our imperative… They’re the only ones I want to live by…

Here are some core values assigned to us women…

Relational intelligence, prioritising connection, attunement, and the health of relationships.

Empathy, the ability to feel with and alongside others.

Intuition, embodied knowing, trusting internal wisdom.

Collaboration over competition, valuing shared success.

Nurturance, tending to growth, whether in people, ideas, or communities.

Emotional fluency, comfort with feeling, naming, and processing emotion.

Receptivity, the capacity to listen, receive, and respond rather than dominate.

Cyclical awareness, honouring rhythms, seasons, rest, and renewal.

Care ethics, making decisions with relational impact in mind.

Community-building, creating spaces of belonging.

Inclusivity, widening the circle rather than guarding the gate.

Compassionate leadership, leading with humanity rather than hierarchy.

Creativity and generativity, birthing innovative ideas, frameworks, possibilities.

Embodiment, valuing lived experience and somatic wisdom.

Sustainability, thinking long-term, beyond immediate gain.

Many of these, if not all of them, are precisely the qualities our current world desperately needs, for example, in education, politics, healthcare, and business.

And yet they’re still often treated as “soft skills.”

The real question isn’t whether these are feminine values (men can embody them too), but why they’ve been sidelined.

And we all know the answer… It’s all about upholding male authority, male narratives, and male genius as defined by the patriarchy.

No wonder I’m burning…

How about you, woman?

How about you?

Love and wild warm wishes…
