Wooohooo… it’s nearly mid-winter festive time. Traditionally a time of lights, stuffing our faces and being merry to fortify us in facing the fag end of winter; January and February which seem to last forever.

And?

I can’t stand the ho-ho-ho and come spend lots of money (you might not have) buying things for other people they might or might not want. Turning it into a spend-fest instead of the deeply spiritual experience it once was.

For the winter solstice, 21 December, marks the day of shortest daylight hours and longest dark night time hours. I’m reliably informed from then on daylight hours increase by approximately 11 minutes a week until they start declining again after the summer solstice.

So it’s a time of celebrating and welcoming back the light and renewal, the fact you’re still waking up in the morning however dark it is and the miracle of the natural world which, as sure as eggs are eggs, brings the seasons and divine natural bounty.

Though that, as we’ve known it, seems to be changing through Homo sapiens’ disregard for Mother Nature. And when the divine feminine is disrespected she comes out teeth barred and with all guns blazing.

You wanted some light? Here… take this!

Yet, if each one of us becomes a little more conscious, we can collectively begin to repair some of the damage…

As you approach our mid-winter festive time, take some sacred time to go in. To sit with your own Wild Soul, a spark of the divine, and connect with the preciousness of life… All life, including this awesome planet on which we live.

Connect with the being-ness of the divine feminine and be open to her wisdom and guidance about your own renewal. She’s always there waiting for you to return.

Connect also with the preciousness and miracle of you; millions of cells that collaborate in creating and maintaining your space suit AND the inspiration that keeps you inhabiting it.

Celebrate where you’ve been and marvel at where you could be going.

Le’chaim… To life!

That’s the real spirit of Christmas…

And then, when you return to the busyness and business of this approaching festive season, maybe you’ll spend a little less, ho-ho-ho a little less, stuff your face a little less and connect a little more with its spiritual significance… and yours!

Love and wild warm wishes…
