A happy, healthy and wealthy New Year to you!
I hope you haven’t made a New Year’s resolution. If you have, you might like to rethink it.
Research has shown that only a tiny percent of people achieve their resolution goal, with the majority falling off the wagon within weeks to a month or so after NYE.
What seems to be far more successful is setting an intention for the year, which won’t sound like a goal but will sound like a desire.
Desire!
Hang on a minute…
‘Desire’ is not a word we Brits bandy about outside the bedroom… if at all!
Well, it’s time we got used to it and threw away whatever remains of the stiff upper lip. For ‘desire’ is a very gutsy and sexy word in its own right, even when you take the sex out of it!
Desire…
- a longing or craving for something that brings satisfaction or enjoyment: a desire for fame.
- an expressed wish; request.
- Something desired.
- sexual appetite or a sexual urge.
So what do you desire in 2023?
Go on…

Once you know what you desire, how will you feel when you get it? For example, let’s play with a desire for fame…
When I think about being famous, gosh… I would feel powerful and, it has to be said, sexy! I see myself in the media and feel thrilled to be recognised (to begin with, at least!). Seeing my face and hearing what I say fed back to me will be absolutely thrilling.
Now, isn’t that more juicy than a plain old ‘desire for fame?’
So how about you turn your New Year’s resolution into the more commanding and compelling ‘what you desire’ right now!
Read it daily, say it out loud… several times… and I promise those juicy feelings will keep you engaged in doing stuff to deliver your desire. Ably aided and abetted by the deliciously mysterious support of your Wild Soul and the Divine Feminine…
