I said YES!
I said YES before I could say NO…
And, sure enough, as soon as I’d said YES I got the shit-oh-shit-oh-shit-oh-shit rumba going on in my head and guts.
Does that ever happen to you?
In turn, I stood on The Great Wall of Self-Sabotage and then took a deep dive into Anti-Life Gremlin Land where ‘not-good-enough’ thoughts of all kinds live.
(Both places are in my upcoming and impressive book REDISCOVERED for midlife women… writing the first draft as I type!)
Anyhow…
WHENEVER you stretch yourself by doing something new/challenging or are about to have a personal or spiritual growth spurt, you usually get the collywobbles of one kind or another.
So, what to do?
Say, ‘Thank you so much for telling me that and, right now, I am xyz.’ Replace xyz with whatever you are doing at that moment and feel the anti-life gremlin rumba subside.
A simple yet powerful formula to take you out of collywobbles territory and mindfully back into the moment where nothing, but nothing, is to be feared.
So, to what have I gone and said YES?
