Uncertainty is the current name of the game!
You only have to see it around the world: natural disasters, some caused by a heated-up climate, dictators of all kinds, some raving psychopathic narcissists, rising cost of living which USA tariffs will only make worse, ya-di-ya-di-ya!
But there’s the lie…
Not about what’s going on in the world, but that uncertainty is the current name of the game.
IT’S ALWAYS BEEN THE NAME OF THE GAME!
There’s a lovely old riddle…
How do you make God/Goddess laugh?
You show him/her your plans! 😊
Now, you spend early life making lots of plans and busying yourself to make them happen. Some you do. Some you don’t. That’s how the cookie crumbles.
Then you hit midlife!
With hindsight, some of those plans seemed worthwhile, others not so much. Perhaps even a plan or two that you’ve materialised just doesn’t do it for you anymore.
And, hey presto…
Certainty about yourself, others and life can evaporate big time!
And now you’re living the reality of life…
Nothing is freakin’ certain… ever!
We like to think it is, but it’s a random Universe. Anything can happen at any second without warning… And, deep down, you know it.
It’s all a bit like Trump. Who knows what’s going to come out of his mouth at any moment?
Moving on…
Some of us realise that everything is uncertain when we’re young, and I think that, because we expect it, we’re more equipped to see and seize opportunities when they arise.
The rest of us, and that was me, believe in certainty and are far more risk averse, sticking to the familiar and known as a safety belt.
But when you hit midlife, it’s a psycho-spiritual time for re-evaluation, whether you like it or not!
And the uncertainty you feel pours you into its potential rite of passage whether you like it or not!
That midlife crisis is an opportunity to refigure yourself and where you’re headed. It’s an opportunity to discover what you came here to do. It offers you a more flowing, rich, and meaningful life, regardless of how good or bad it’s previously been.
So, seize the gift uncertainty offers, woman…
