The trouble with me is I’m not into unicorns, the 6th dimension, ascending masters, and the like.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to meet a Unicorn, zoom into the 6th dimension, and confer with an ascending master or two but it’s not just my way.
I can imagine them all but, when I experience the divine feminine, my Wild Soul, or my Spirit Guide, I do so wildly-deeply-intensely one on one in my straight-up, Down and Dirty Spirituality.
It’s always been that way, simple and direct, even when I was training to be a psychotherapist all those years ago. We had to work on ourselves before we were set loose on anyone else. And, when we had to draw what we got in guided journeys, my drawing would be stick figures or a few lines or shapes capturing the essence of what I had seen or sensed.
Done!
I would sit there while other students in my group spent ages on elaborate and colourful drawings. So, at first, I thought there was something wrong with me, that I wasn’t doing it right, you know how it is. That was until one of my trainers laughed lovingly, reassuring me in response to my feelings of failure.
‘Sharon,’ she said, ‘this is YOUR spirituality. Minimalist drawings are how you’re meant to express yourself so you can stand out from the crowd.’
And I did that for sure!
So why am I bemoaning the lack of unicorns, the 6th dimension, and ascending masters? Same difference, as my wise old trainer would say. I imagine my simple and direct approach is not as attractive as theirs, just as I thought my simple drawings were less meaningful than their florid ones.
ENOUGH!
I forgive myself for feeling how I express my spirituality is less attractive than how others express theirs… and I choose Love instead!
I suspect I’ll repeat that mouthful of a mantra big time over the coming weeks. Why? Because I’m talking about my 3-day Inner Wisdom challenge and part of me wants to summon up a Unicorn or two, or at least a bit of stardust with which to market it.
Now I’m giggling at how ludicrous I am because…
IT IS NOT MY WAY and those who are attracted to my work will be so exactly because it isn’t my way!
