There’s so much RAGE in the world… but where’s the OUTRAGE?

Everyone seems furious with someone… You only have to listen to the news, with Trump throwing his toys out of the pram on a regular basis. But it happens far closer to home too.

The driver in front on the school run. The woman with a different opinion in that meeting. The stranger online who has the sheer bloody audacity to exist differently.

And yes, sometimes anger is justified. I’m not suggesting you light a scented candle and become spiritually serene while the world goes to hell

But I keep wondering whether we’re placing our rage where it really needs to go…

Because we can spend hours raging at people we’ve never met, then shrug at cruelty with, “Well, that’s just how things are.”

Really?

When did we become so easily offended and so willing to accept the unacceptable?

For me, outrage begins when something inside says THIS IS WRONG. Something precious is being violated: someone’s dignity, someone’s safety, someone’s right to live without being crushed. And that asks more of us than just an angry comment.

It asks what you’re prepared to stand for… What you’ll challenge. Whom you’ll stand beside. What you’ll actually DO.

And that’s where our inner work matters.

Because when I don’t recognise my own fear, grief or helplessness, I can fling it at the nearest available target and call it righteousness. I’ve often talked about righteous anger, and now I’m thinking perhaps it’s not as clean as I once thought!

I’ve certainly displayed it. Perhaps you have too!

Now, connecting with our inner wisdom doesn’t mean becoming endlessly agreeable. Sometimes your Wild Soul has a very clear NO… A boundary, a refusal, a fierce, loving insistence that this cannot continue.

As women, we’ve spent long enough being told to calm down, be nice, don’t make a fuss. For goodness’ sake… Sometimes a fuss is precisely what’s needed!

But let’s give our anger somewhere meaningful to go, like into protecting, speaking, organising, challenging, caring. Let it interrupt our comfort as well as somebody else’s behaviour.

Spend less energy demanding everyone agree with us.

Have more courage to defend what matters.

What focus would let you shift your energy from rage to outrage, woman?

What focus absolutely deserves your outrage?

Love and wild warm wishes…
