I’d call “hope” a spiritual quality of being, a “knowing” that something desired for our own or the greater good is possible, even when you don’t know whether or when it will happen!

Psychologically too, it’s more than simply “thinking positively.” In psychologist C. R. Snyder’s influential “Hope” theory, hope has two parts: a sense that there is a way forward and a sense that you have some capacity to move towards it. So hope contains both possibility and agency.

I love the idea that, through hoping, we don’t only hold an ideal vision but also apply our willingness, as it were, for it to happen. Like a nod to the Universe, or a big neon arrow, saying “This, please!”

Spiritually, I think there’s another interesting distinction. Hope doesn’t necessarily mean everything will turn out exactly as you desire, but that you can’t see what’s coming, and, at the same time, you’re open to the possibility that something will emerge.

Now that might seem daft to you because things usually do emerge, even when it’s nothing! But I get it because…

At the very beginning of our work together, in the Reset phase of Intrapsychic Realignment™, when I ask a woman what she truly wants to get from the work, I open the door to hope without the faintest knowledge of what will, indeed, emerge.

I’m not promising an outcome or giving her false reassurance about what’s to be. Instead, I’m letting her imagine that who she is now isn’t the limit of who she can become.

So just imagine, if this government can engender hope in enough of us to tip the balance… Who knows what our collective could achieve!

Who knows what YOU could achieve, woman…

Love and wild warm wishes…
