Ok, I’m putting my hands up to it!

Early this morning I sat down at my laptop, coffee at hand, heart and guts willing and ready to write my weekly blog post… aka THIS!

Every week I do the same and every week out of my fingertips flows exactly the topic to be writing about… There might be a false start now and again but, hey, it comes right in the end.

Until this week.

This week?

Zilch, nada, zero, gornisht!

You know how it is when suddenly you find you’re unable to do something you normally can. What on earth’s the matter with me?

Who said, ‘If, at first, you don’t succeed etcetera…?’

Well, in my frustration, I did try and try again.

And you know what, I also hit fail and fail again!

All that struggle got me nowhere…

Then I suddenly remembered some ancient wisdom from the Taoist philosopher, Lao Tzu…

‘Do you have the patience to wait
until your mud settles and the water is clear?
Can you remain unmoving
until the right action arises by itself?’

Aaahhh… Giving up the struggle is such a relief, isn’t it?

And, even more than a relief, it’s an act of self-love.

For when I surrendered to let my own mud settle, I left space enough to realise what had been going on.

It was either self-sabotage as a punishment for recently writing some stuff that I knew in my guts wasn’t in integrity with me (that’s a whole other story!) OR it was my Wild Soul saying, ‘Oh no you don’t… You’re not writing any more of that crap again!’

What do you reckon?

Anyhow, the nub of this story is you that weren’t born to struggle and the more you struggle the more you fuel the ‘struggling.’

So…
