The weather might be decidedly chilly but the temperature is heating up in the UK!
Why?
Because we’ve entered political party conference season. The Lib Dems finish today, the Conservatives start in October and will be shortly followed by Labour.
So, we can expect a lot of hot air with no feminist foreign policy between them!
If you’re thinking of burning bras, you’re 60 years out of date!
Try this on for size; an excerpt from the Netherlands feminist foreign policy…
‘Women make up half the world’s population, yet it is rare to find a place where they are equally represented in places where decisions are made about their lives (in politics and management boards, for example).’
The italics are mine…
The focuses of feminist foreign policy are…
- Universal rights for women, LFBTQI+ and other marginalised peoples and to be safeguarded from violence.
- They must be represented and take part in political decisions.
- There must be sufficient resources to achieve these goals.
- As circumstances differ around the world, to implement policy goals in a way appropriate to the local context.
If you’re thinking, ‘Come on, Sharon, you’re going all serious on me,’ STOP!
Everything I ever talk about, write about and video about is freakin’ serious, woman, including this.
Why?
Because it’s all about the environment supporting or not supporting your freedom to become more of who you were designed to be rather than who you were trained to be. And whether you like it or not, your training has been based on socio-economic-political policies based on established white male entitlement.
If you’re curious to know what a feminist foreign policy looks like, check one out here. Otherwise, read on regardless…
I am sick to death of our decision-makers, mostly male, not taking women into account. For example, it was ONLY IN 2022 that female dummies were introduced for UK medical students to study.
Can you believe it?
The whole of the NHS and medical degrees have been based on and designed for the male body. No wonder we women get easily misdiagnosed for some conditions described by male symptoms. (For how men and women differ in heart attack symptoms click here).
Rant over!
It is, indeed, the political party conference season and my heart breaks that it’s still dominated by the male establishment and not a feminist foreign policy between them.
Even more reason for you and I to reclaim our magnificence, stand in our truth and represent the divine feminine in our own circle of influence, however small.
Because she sure as hell isn’t in our current political systems and only we can spread her ‘fluence’ bit by bit…
Come the revolution woman. Come the revolution!
Love and wild warm wishes…

PS… If you didn’t know I was politically active, you do now! Not my usual kind of blog post so I’d love your feedback… Liked it, didn’t like it, want more, want less or ‘no more of this thank you very much, Sharon!’
