When is enough enough?
Years ago I had a woman gardener. She cut deliciously curved flower beds on each side of the lawn and planted mindfully so my garden sang in the growing seasons and reclined gracefully in winter.
Then she retired!
Her male successor did a fair enough job although my garden’s voice became croaky. But, hey, at least she still had a voice.
Sadly, a major injury put pay to heavy work and ended his tenure. However, there was a long and thank-the-goddess-for-that sigh from my garden.
So, I bought the tools and had a go but I’m no gardener. Although my feeble attempts brought a trill, albeit short and wobbly, my garden became less colourful, more fraught and, at times, totally silent.
Her voice had gone…
And that, magnificent woman, is exactly what can happen to we women!
You can lose your colour and become stressed, out of your box or otherwise. You can lose your melodic voice through the never-ending business and ‘doing’ of life.
Got to get that report in!
I must do the house this weekend!
I should get to the gym but I never have time!
Fretting about the kids, ageing parents, what’s happening at work… let alone what’s going on in your love life…
Feeling lost, confused and sometimes overwhelmed. What’s it all about? I don’t who I am anymore or where I fit…
And that’s just some of what happens when you’ve been distracted and forgotten to tend your own freakin’ garden.
BTW… I’m speaking as one who’s been there, seen that AND got the tee-shirt, so I know what I’m talking about.
IT’S ENOUGH!
Relax in a warm, candle-lit bath. Be still. Listen to calming, peace-inducing music. Take some ME time. Go for a run.
Do whatever you need to do to listen to your Wild Soul, your own divine gardener.
Let her inner wisdom show you or tell you your first baby step toward revitalizing yourself, your voice and those oh-so-delicious flower-bed curves again.
Then be, have or do it…
It’s the first step in your next evolutionary growth, woman!
Love and wild warm wishes…

Revitalise who you are, where you’re going and what you came here to do…
PS… If, instead, you’re full of the joys of the spring, wonderful. Mark this as ‘bring forward’ because who knows when you might need it. And for all kinds of news about me, my life AND what I’m up to, do join me on Facebook and LinkedIn… I’d love to see you there!
