A massive and womanly New Year greeting and, now we’ve got that over, what newness do you want this year?
Yes, I sound a little cynical because I am.
Every year we wind up our hopes that a new year brings a fresh start in all kinds of ways. But then we continue doing what we’ve always done and hope for different and better results.
BTW that was Einstein’s definition of madness!
Same-old always results in same-old however you dress it up.
So this year I’m holding my feet to the fire because I’m at an age where it feels like it’s shit or bust time. I’m passionate about getting some psycho-spiritual training off the ground big time and I’m going all out for it.
No more excuses even though a very young part of me is quaking in her boots.
Historically she has good reason to do so.
I was born into a family where if you shone too brightly for their liking you were cut down at the knees through jealousy, sarcasm, and humiliation.
Excruciatingly painful, as I imagine some of you will also sadly know from your own experience.
Anyhow, I’ve gathered that young part of me in my arms and told her it’s adult me who’ll be doing the risky stuff.
She doesn’t have to do a thing except snuggle up with her favourite book in a warm, cared-for environment while I get on with it.
Her relief experienced by me in my body is palpable!
