Maybe it’s because I tested positive for COVID-19 for 10 days and have felt too crap to talk about.
Maybe it’s because some of the rhetoric in our UK General Election has been little more than an immature slanging match peppered with untruths.
Or maybe it’s if I see one more hair-flicking media social post promising you everything, with a lot of razzle-dazzle, if you buy their latest product-service-gizmo, I’ll puke!
Aren’t you sick of it too?
The hype, the look-at-me posturing, the lying…
Yes, let’s call it out as it is. No “untruths”.
The freakin’ lying!
And don’t get me started on what’s going on in the good ole USA!
Maybe it’s all of the above that has me wanting to withdraw, to remove myself from… I was going to say from down & dirty reality… but what’s going on is a slur on “down & dirty!”
And breathe, Sharon, breathe…
I know it’s the two-year-old, innocent part of me that sees the situation and says, “But it’s so easy… All you have to do is XYZ!”
Sure, it’s easy, if you’re connected to your Wild Soul, your inner wisdom and integrity but, hey, not everyone’s up for that particular adventure; the re-discovery of who you really are, where you’re going and what you came here to do.
And now, having ranted cathartically, I see it all more clearly.
Just struggling scraps of humanity, and some very screwed-up scraps of humanity, living out the drama of their lives in public arenas.
The beauty is you and I have a choice. We can follow the herd, the trend, the cult-like behaviours or travel our own path, whatever that is.
