“I bet you say that to all your clients,” she said, her tone laced with scepticism.

She had me dead to rights… I did.

“Yes,” I admitted. “I do. I tell all my clients how magnificent they are.”

She shot me a wry look.

“And I mean it,” I continued, “Every single one of them. You, me, the woman in the butcher’s shop, the cashier at the supermarket… all of us. Magnificent.”

Her eyes widened as I leaned in…

“Who you really are is magnificent,” I said firmly.

Her scepticism faltered, and her eyes glistened.

“Beneath all the social conditioning, all the family rules, the schooling, the peer pressure, beneath the masks we wear to be acceptable, lies the truth of who you are. And that truth is magnificent.”

Her expression softened, a mixture of sadness and joy, sadness for not knowing this before and joy for being seen as the radiant being she truly was.

Roberto Assagioli, the founder of Psychosynthesis, said that if every human being were in touch with their essential integrity, there’d be no need for laws.

That’s how pure our true nature is. Yours, mine, all of ours…

So why don’t we live from that truth?

There’s an old Rabbinic story that, as babies, we know everything we need to live magnificently. But just before we’re born, an angel kisses us on the cheek, and we forget it all.

From then on, we spend our lives trying to re-member.

Why does it have to be that way?

Beats the hell out of me!

When I physically die, if there’s somewhere to go, I’ll definitely have a word with the “management”.

But for now, remember…

Who you are is magnificent, woman…

Who you are is magnificent!

Love and wild, warm wishes…
