There’s something almost surreal about the times we’re living in.
On the one hand, we witness Trump’s chaos, political theatre, and the drumbeat of war with Iran foremost in our current news. He’s full of fear narratives, division, and an ego amplified to a global scale.
And on the other hand, almost like a whisper from another dimension, come the voices of astronauts, floating above it all, looking back. And what they describe couldn’t be more different.
From space, they don’t see countries or enemies. They don’t see “us” and “them.” They see one fragile, luminous sphere, “a tiny, beautiful ball of life,” suspended in vast darkness (Mae Jemison, 1992).
That’s known as the Overview Effect, a profound psychological and spiritual shift in which separation dissolves into interconnectedness.
Indeed, astronauts speak of awe, unity, and love.
Of suddenly realising that the conflicts we cling to on Earth are, in the grand scheme, absurd.
Commander Reid Wiseman, Artemis II, said the view of the entire globe was “the most spectacular moment, and it paused all four of us in our tracks.”
The sight moved pilot Victor Glover to say, “You look beautiful and, from up here, you also look like one thing. You know, Homo sapiens is all of us. No matter where you’re from or what you look like, we are all one people.”
And that’s where the deeper question begins.
Because while the world below spins in polarity and power struggles, there is simultaneously an invitation, an awakening perspective available to us without ever leaving the ground.
This is the work… To hold both realities, to witness the madness without becoming it.
To remember, even in the middle of political noise and fear-based narratives, that we are part of something infinitely more intelligent, more connected, more sacred.
The astronauts don’t come back speaking about domination. They come back speaking about response-ability, about care, and the illusion of our divisions.
And that’s the quiet revolution we’re being called to now.
Not louder voices, but higher perspectives. Because when you truly SEE, whether from space or from within, the game changes.
Suddenly, the question’s no longer “Who’s right or wrong?”
But, “How do we come back to wholeness?”
How do we come back to wholeness, woman?
Love and wild warm wishes…

For women who’ve reached, “There has to be more to life than this!”
