I’m yearning for snow!
I know, I know… Freezing temperatures, ice and the usual disruption to trains, etc. But I would love to feel that crispness, that crunch beneath my snuggly-furry boots, and that sting in my cheeks while I’m cosy-warm in my duvet coat.
Aliveness!
That’s what I’m after…
I’m bored by the same old jingle bell advertisements and the current wet and windy weather in the UK.
Yes, I know the Christmas fest is only 13 days away but that’s not going to even touch the sides.
Give me a dose of skin-prinking aliveness… like NOW!
Now I hear my Wild Soul yelling, ‘Aliveness! Aliveness! I’ll give you a dose of Aliveness!’
And I laugh and laugh in a coughing kind of way due to being down with a lurgy with which I’m also bored.
TBH, the yelling is my inner wisdom humorously pointing to what my Wild Soul’s telling me…
It’s time for an inner switch, a mood upgrade, a perception booster… whatever you like to call it. Because ALIVENESS of the skin-pricking kind is always, but always, a hair’s breadth away.
And it’s not out there. It’s an inside job!
Now, I have an array of enlivening tips like… Put some meaty music on and bop your way around the kitchen. Or… Close your eyes and imagine you’re somewhere full of the kind of aliveness you’re after. The Caribbean? Skiing down a mountain slope? Lush woodlands? Take your pick!
But my inner wisdom reminded me the aliveness I really seek right now is being present with my Wild Soul, my spiritual essence that informs and enflames me.
Did it not say it would give me aliveness?
So I close my eyes, allowing myself to soften and connect.
No 1812 overture complete with cannons. No razzamatazz. Instead, a deep experience of BEING that flows deliciously through me…
That’s what I call ALIVENESS… I open my eyes feeling enthusiastic, revitalized and energetic; skin-pricking alive!
The same old jingle bell advertisements, wet and windy weather and even snow are irrelevant to my take on me and life.
It’s your inner weather that counts every time.
