I woke early to the sound of geese honking as they flew over my house this morning. A sure sign that autumn’s here.
Where did summer go in the UK? I think we’ll count it in days rather than weeks!
And how “English” of me to talk about the weather when, as of today, women in Afghanistan, by law, are now not even allowed to speak in public.

Remember women there demonstrating and dancing with their heads bared in defiance of the patriarchal and misogynistic regime?
If you don’t like what they have to say, pass a law. That’ll fix them!
Yes, I know me not talking about the weather won’t change anything for Afghan women. But maybe smuggling RE-DISCOVERED there, my legacy book, just might.
Even if it’s just by raising women’s spirits!
I’m being serious… If anyone reading this knows how to do that, I’ll donate copies.
