I’ve tried… I’ve really tried!
But I seem to be turning into a grumpy old woman…
The patience has gone, and I want to know why so many people behave like a loaf short of a slice!
Of course, it’s down to me…
Who else?
As a younger woman, I was an intellectual snob. I looked forward to reading for my degree because I thought I would be surrounded by interesting, curious, and innovative people.
No chance… And that included most of the lecturers, too!
While I have no urge to seek a diagnosis, I do wonder whether I might be neuro-diverse to some degree.
I remember how gobsmacked I was as a younger woman to have said something serious to which others broke out in laughter; finding it funny when I was just saying what I saw or what was true for me.
And I still don’t understand how people say things like, “Let’s arrange to catch up,” or they’re all over you like a dose of salts, and then nothing. Zilch, zero, nada… They seem to drop off the edge of the earth!
They’re about as sincere as a bent two-bob bit… Those of a certain age will know what I mean!
Or perhaps it’s the socially polite thing to say or do in their world.
Whatever!
Maybe the grumpy old woman phase is just something I’m going through. An interlude leading to more delicious tomfoolery; all part of the encroaching eccentricity I’m determined to develop as I age!

Retrograde planets, major eclipses, and the goddess knows what else is going on at the moment… Ooo, and it’s Pisces too… A transformation and reinvention phase.
(Aha… that’s what my grumpy old woman is about then!)
Not to mention the instability and uncertainty flavouring our current geo-political world…
